Our story on how we got into Hijama / Cupping Therapy

My wife and I have been Hijama / Cupping Therapists for the past 15 years. We started out by trying to find a solution to our own aches and pains, which mainstream medicine had given up on. After trying cupping, we realised we had not only physically healed but also felt spiritually uplifted, and were now living a more healthy and fulfilling lifestyle.

Fifteen years on and we’ve helped 100s if not 1000s of individuals get the same results we did, for problems ranging from back pain, fertility issues, multiple sclerosis, and even dandruff. Wet cupping, which is also known as Hijama, is an amazing therapy.

On this site we share our combined experience by providing multi-session treatment plans, that we’ve developed through meticulous record keeping and empirical observation; we hope that our findings can be used to help others break the pain, improve your health, and accelerate your own healing journey.

Experience in Cupping Therapy is crucial

Most professionals have more than just knowledge, rather they have the experience and judgement. A young doctor will have seen far fewer patients and thus may not be able to ascertain the nuances of particular symptoms, on the other hand a senior doctor will immediately absorb all this information and due to experience will determine a much better diagnosis. Cupping therapy is no different. We have over the years improved our technique, for instance we can discern from the type and state of the skin the approximate length of time cups should be left on to avoid burns and blisters. In wet cupping therapy, also known as Hijama, we’ve accurately been able to identify certain ailments due to the colour and thickness and appropriately advised clients to get tests done and visit the doctor.

Being avid researchers we’ve documented and mapped our successes and developed treatment plans for many common ailments that people suffer from, borrowing from acupuncture, acupressure, and the body’s physiology to create holistic multi-session plans that cleanse the body and then stimulate healing in particular organs and structures. This site shares these multi-session treatment plans with the specific cupping points while providing suggestions for natural treatments and lifestyle changes. The site is especially useful to therapists but can also be beneficial to individuals who have the appropriate training.

Locating the hijama points on the body can be difficult so we’ve provided some free resources for you to use that you can refer back to.  Hijama / Cupping therapists will thank us for this !

The standard points can help with many issues but over time we found that by treating the body more holistically and using our understanding of the linkages in physiology, acupuncture, acupressure, and energy pathways we were able to identify other hijama points that accelerate healing and provide  more permanent, longer term benefits.

The body is made of many system and each has a key role to play, for instance the circulatory system delivers blood, the lymphatic system removes waste, the nervous system provides two way communication to the brain – taking into consideration all of these areas helped us to determine some of the best points to use to trigger, accelerate, and support healing for specific issues.
